Kim Geller is the Tax Commissioner for the City of Heath as of January 2011. She has worked in the Income Tax Department since November 1989. Kim is a Heath resident and graduate of Heath City Schools. She has an Associate's Degree in Accounting from COTC and is a member of the Greater Ohio Association of Taxing Administrators and Central Area Taxing Administrators.

Tax Department

The Income Tax Department is under the direction of the Tax Commissioner who is responsible for the collection and administration of the City’s 1 ˝ % earnings tax and the 3% hotel excise tax. The Income Tax Department offers direct tax assistance via e-mail, telephone, and walk-in service to all residents and businesses. A web hosted on-line tax program is also available to Heath residents for self- preparation of their annual city tax returns.

The Income Tax Department is currently staffed by 4 full-time employees who are responsible for registering all new residents and businesses that move into or locate in the City. They also process more than 6,000 annual tax returns and numerous monthly and quarterly payments from both residents and businesses.

The Income Tax Department is located in the Heath Municipal Building at 1287 Hebron Road. The office hours are Monday – Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. During peak tax season, the Department is open the last Saturday in March and the first three Saturdays in April between the hours of 8:00 AM and 12:00 Noon.
