Deer Management Program

The deer population within the City of Heath has grown significantly over the past several years to the extent that an overpopulation problem exists. This is clearly evident by the increase in vehicle-deer accidnets, increase in complaints regarding destruction of property, and statistics supplied by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

The purpose of the Deer Management Program is to establish a policy and procedure for the humane reduction of the deer population through the introduction of a deer bow hunting program.
