A lifetime resident and product of the Heath City Schools, Bob Geller has been employed with the City since 1978. He worked for nearly twenty years in the Parks and Recreation Department before assuming the role of Superintendent in 1996. Under his leadership, the City's Parks and Recreation Department has won several prestigious awards from the Ohio Parks and Recreation Association.

The City of Heath Parks and Recreation Department maintains 10 parks and recreation facilities, including the Heath City Water Park, the Davis Shai House, and the city’s pedestrian trail system. The Parks Department seeks to provide a wide variety of recreational opportunities to people of all ages and stages of life. The facilities and programs of the recreation department serve countless numbers of recreational enthusiasts on a daily basis. The Heath Parks and Recreation Department constantly strives to maintain all facilities, properties, and programs at the highest level of quality and safety in order to provide excellence to all who enjoy recreational opportunities in our community.
